Lost cities in Australia - 2
All photographs here are by Rob Herbert in 2020 July 4, in a hiking trip to Mt Towinhingy in Wollemi National Park, NSW, Australia.
The pagoda-like rock formations around the mountain are like lost cities of an old decaying civilisation swallowed by the wilderness.
1) The large mountain is Mt Towinhingy.
- The pagodas around its base are like lost cities :-)

Why you should wear face masks
Why you should wear face masks. Let me try and make it simple for you ...
The Urine Test
1) If we all run around naked and someone pees on you, you get wet right away.
2) If you are wearing pants, some pee will get through - but not as much, so you are better protected.
3) If the guy who pees is also wearing pants, the pee stays with him and you do not get wet.

If Donald Trump had captained the Titanic
If Donald Trump had captained the Titanic ...
- There is no iceberg.
- We won't hit an iceberg.
- I knew it was an iceberg
before anyone else knew.
- No one knows icebergs better than I do.
- The penguins brought the iceberg here.
- No one could have predicted the iceberg.
- We cannot allow an iceberg to stop our ship.
- The crew is spreading fake news about icebergs.
- Some of you have to drown.
- I am the best captain, ask anyone.
Captain Smith of the Titanic went down
with the ship.
Captain Donald Trump would have been
on the very first life boat,
and won't be sharing it with others.
But before then, Donald Trump would tell everyone
there are just a few liters of seawater
in the lower decks;
once it get's warmer they'll dry out
and everything will be fine.
Background: Donald Trump is regarded by all
as the worst president of the United States !
The above joke is a reference to his handling of
the Coronavirus / COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 ...
You can substituted "iceberg" in the joke with
"Coronavirus".
People said they would rather die
instead of voting for Hillary Clinton
in the 2016 US presidential election.
Well, they reaped what they sowed ...
They are dying now from Coronavirus,
all because they voted for Donald Trump :-)

Tessellated tree
Date of photograph: 2020-07-04
Location: Around Mt Towinhingy, near Dunns Swamp, NSW, Australia
Anyone knows what tree is this ?
Is the tessellated pattern on the trunk due to bushfires ?
(This place was badly burnt by fires half a year ago, around January/February 2020.)

Mammatus clouds
Mammatus clouds are pouch-like protrusions hanging from the undersides of clouds, usually thunderstorm anvil clouds, but other types of clouds as well.
Composed primarily of ice, these cloud pouches are visible in the sky for only about 10 to 15 minutes.
Aside from their magnificent beauty, mammatus clouds are interesting in part because they are formed by sinking air; whereas most clouds are formed by rising air.
You can use Google to search for beautiful images of mammatus clouds. But I had the good fortune to witness one while going to a hiking trip in Glenbrook Gorge in Blue Mountains, NSW, Australia.
It was my first time to see such clouds !
I was driving at the time. I saw the clouds but didn’t have a chance to stop the car.
But 老炊 had the opportunity to snap this picture over Glenbrook Railway Station.

I was amazed to see the guy in white reaching so far into Glenbrook Gorge in the Blue Mountains, NSW, Australia ...

... Then he was about to fart.
